As of today, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 18,740.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the city rose by 291 in the past day.
"In the past day, another 291 residents of Kyiv tested positive for coronavirus, including nine healthcare workers. There were eight fatalities," Klitschko reported via Telegram on September 18.
"As of today, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 18,740."
According to the city mayor, 151 women aged 18 to 89 and 119 men aged 18 to 91 are among those infected.
Ten girls (from three months to 17 years old) and 11 boys (from four days to 17 years old) have tested positive.
Klitschko said 57 new patients had been hospitalized, while the rest are self-isolating, undergoing treatment at home under medical supervision.
He added that 141 people had recovered in the past day.
In total, 5,742 Kyiv residents have already beaten the disease.
The highest number of the new cases in Kyiv was registered in Desniansky district (61), Dniprovsky district (40), and Darnytsky district (39).
The total death toll in the city is 304 cases.
