As of today, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 12,984.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the city rose by 265 in the past day.
"In the past day, another 265 residents of Kyiv tested positive for coronavirus, including 11 healthcare workers. There were nine fatalities," Klitschko wrote on Telegram on August 29. "As of today, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 12,984."
According to Klitschko, 129 women aged 19 to 78, and 117 men aged 19 to 81 among those infected.

Klitschko said 48 new patients had been hospitalized, while the rest were self-isolating, undergoing treatment at home under medical supervision.
Some 159 people recovered from the disease in the past day, he said.
In total, 4,229 Kyiv residents have already recovered.
The highest number of the new cases in Kyiv was registered in Darnytsky district (50), Dniprovsky district (40), and Desniansky district (34).
The total death toll in the city is 193 cases.
