Ukrainian artillery strikes have destroyed the weapon emplacements of militants who were firing on the suburbs of Mariupol on Wednesday, the press center of the Ukrainian anti-terrorist operation (ATO) headquarters has reported on Facebook.
"Militants firing artillery and Grad multiple launch rocket systems were shelling our units near Talakovka," the press center said in a statement.
"In turn, the artillery units of the ATO forces destroyed the firing points of the militants," the press center said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, today the city of Mariupol’s defense headquarters reported that anti-government militants had fired Grad rockets at Ukrainian army positions near Mariupol, causing casualties among Ukrainian troops.
