The Bloc of Petro Poroshenko, Samopomich and the Popular Front plan to agree on the bulk of the coalition agreement by Friday, November 7, a spokesman of the Popular Front party, MP Viacheslav Kyrylenko, has said live on Ukrainian television’s Channel Ukraina according to Ukrainian television’s Espreso.TV.
"The coalition agreement is 10% ready, and we expect it to be 90% ready by the end of the week, on Thursday or Friday,” Kyrylenko said.
“Today, the Bloc of Poroshenko, Samopomich and the Popular Front have held a second meeting of their working group," he said.
Kyrylenko said the Radical Party and the Batkivshyna Party, two other pro-European parties that won seats in the new parliament, had also been invited to talks on their possible participation in the coalition.
As reported earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said in an address to the nation on Monday that forming a parliamentary coalition was not the job of the president, and that the coalition agreement “was a contract with the country.”
