The European Council will next week discuss measures to support Ukraine, the EU’s chief diplomat, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, has said.
"These measures are extremely necessary, because the current situation of Ukraine is very difficult due to the issue of security on its territory, [and] the economic and energy situation in the country," she said at a press conference in Berlin, the Ukrainian service of Radio Liberty reported.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the European Union is scheduled to discuss additional sanctions against Russia at a ministerial meeting of the EU on Monday, November 17.
