According to report by Reuters news agency, ten months after Russia invaded Crimea, thousands of Crimeans are still desperate to get access to their money.
After replacing the region’s banking network almost overnight, seizing the assets of Ukrainian banks on the peninsula, Russia promised reimbursements to local residents and businesses. But Crimeans now face Kafkaesque bureaucracy, and there are no guarantees they will ever see any of their savings again.
