Ukraine should pursue federalization, European Council President Herman Van Rompuy has said just a few days before the end of his term in office.
Van Rompuy’s proposal, made during a meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, to devolve some powers to the regions while proceeding to “deepen relations with the European Union,” echoed Poroshenko’s own ideas set out in the Minsk peace plan in September.
