The police operation might indicate another round of the fight between Erdogan and his political opponent Fethullah Gulen, which has been going on since a corruption investigation started to target the president’s entourage last year, Ukraine Today reports.

Gelen's supporters staged a protest outside a police station, as one of the targeted media, Samanyolu Media Group, called the raids “an attack against the freedom of expression and the freedom of the press.”
