Crimean Tatar leader to combat corruption (Video)

Ukraine’s President Poroshenko has appointed Refat Chubarov, leader of the Crimean Tatar national movement in Ukraine, to the Committee of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Poroshenko also appointed human rights activist Yevhen Zakharov and historian Yaroslav Hrytsak to the committee, Ukraine Today reports.

The bureau is to start its work by mid-January. Tackling corruption is one of the primary demands the European Union is making of the new Ukrainian authorities in return for further financial support.
