Kyiv says Minsk meeting on February 11 has to be prepared for properly to go ahead

The Presidential Administration has said certain conditions must be met ahead of the holding of the next round of peace talks in Minsk on February 11, Presidential Administration Deputy Head Valeriy Chaliy wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday, according to Ukrainian political weekly magazine Novoe Vremya.

According to Chaliy, the meeting will be possible only if it is properly prepared for in advance.

"We agreed to hold expert consultations of representatives of the Foreign Ministry in Berlin on Monday and a meeting of the Tripartite Contact Group on Tuesday with the participation of the signatories of the Minsk agreements,” Chaliy wrote.

“And this is very important – [only] if the preparations are successful, will the Normandy format meeting  be held on Wednesday, February 11," Chaliy said.

As reported earlier, the leaders of Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine are expected to hold a meeting in Minsk on Wednesday, February 11 in order to discuss the resolution of the conflict in the Donbas.
