Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini have said they hope for a ceasefire in the Donbas soon and progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements after the meeting in Minsk on February 11.
The parties discussed this issue by phone, according to the presidential press service.
"Poroshenko and Mogherini discussed international efforts for a peaceful resolution of the situation in the Donbas and coordinated their positions on the eve of the EU Council on Foreign Affairs, which is scheduled for Monday, February 9 in Brussels," the report says.
