Former Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Slovakia Ivan Mikloš is to advise Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalia Jaresko on the tax system, decentralization and a general reorganization of public finances, the press service of the Ministry of Finance reported on Tuesday.
Mikloš was Slovak Minister of Privatization in 1991-1992, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Slovakia in 1998-2002, and Slovak Finance Minister in 2002-2006 and 2010-2012.
He was also the deputy of the National Council of Slovakia in 2006-2010.
At the moment, he is a member of the advisory board of the VoxUkraine group of economists.
