Klimkin: ‘Normandy Four’ foreign ministers agree on OSCE mission in Donbas

The “Normandy Four” foreign ministers of Ukraine, Russia, France and Germany have managed to agree on important technical aspects of support for the OSCE special monitoring mission in the Donbas, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said after the ministers met in Paris on Tuesday, according to Russian information agency RIA Novosti.

"We were able to agree on a few technical aspects, including the important aspect of how to support the OSCE mission and how to strengthen its capabilities by maintaining the ceasefire and through the withdrawal of troops," he said.

"We could not find a political decision on how to respond to the recent events in Debaltseve," he added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on February 24, in Paris, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin met to discuss the settlement of the Donbas conflict.
