Ukrainian officials announced on Thursday that Ukrainian troops are continuing the withdrawal of heavy weapons from the frontline of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, despite coming under fire from Russia-backed insurgents.
Forty violations of the latest February ceasefire agreement by militants have been reported in the last 24 hours, Ukraine Today reports.
Meanwhile, there are no signs of peace near militant-controlled Donetsk and Mariupol, defended by the Ukrainian military, as heavy fighting around these strongholds continues.
