The National Bank of Ukraine on Monday dropped the hryvnia’s value by 16 kopiykas, setting the Ukrainian currency’s official exchange rate at UAH 21.77 to the dollar.
As of 1400 the central bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against the leading foreign currencies:
$100 – UAH 2,177.0381 (as of 1400 on March 13 it was UAH 2,161.6059);
EUR 100 – UAH 2,301.5647 (as of 1400 on March 13 it was UAH 2,294.1123);
10 Russian rubles – UAH 3.5505 (as of 1400 on March 13 it was UAH 3.5460).
As UNIAN reported earlier, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market on Monday set at the level of UAH 21.55/21.67 to the dollar.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 1200 was UAH 21.6049 to the dollar, with 16 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $12.69 million.
