U.S. to review arming Ukraine if new acts of violence in Donbas

The United States is still undecided on arming Ukraine, but is ready to review its stance if the Minsk agreements are not observed and eastern Ukraine sees a new outbreak of violence, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland said.

Nuland says that U.S. President Barack Obama hasn't decided on arms supplies to Ukraine yet, Russian news agency RIA Novosti has reported, quoting her as saying at the Brussels Forum on Friday.

According to her, the United States is monitoring the situation on the ground and is working to achieve the best result – the full implementation of the Minsk agreements. If this does not happen and there is a new outbreak of violence, the U.S. will change its position.
