The Ukrainian government has approved an action plan for engineering and technical infrastructure development on the Ukrainian-Russian border, according to a statement of Advisor to the Prime Minister Daniel Lubkivsky.
"The government has approved an action plan for engineering and technical infrastructure development of the Russian-Ukrainian state border, territories adjacent to the areas of the Anti-Terrorist Operation’s implementation, and Crimea", Lubkivsky said.
He also said that activities on border management will be coordinated by the administration of the State Border Service.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on April 3, the Security Service of Ukraine announced the receipt of UAH 10 million allocated for state border engineering infrastructure development in Kharkiv region.
On March 18, the cabinet made a decision on the allocation of UAH 865 million from the Reserve Fund for the construction of a security line along the border. Work on border fortifications will be carried out in Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
