Canada insists that Russia should immediately leave the territory it has occupied in Ukraine, and release Ukrainian pilot, MP and member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Nadia Savchenko, who was abducted from Ukraine and is now detained in a Moscow jail, Canadian Foreign Minister Rob Nicholson said during a working visit to Kyiv on Monday, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported on Twitter.
"Canada will repeat: Russia must withdraw from the occupied territories of Ukraine,” Nicholson said during a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin.
“Canada remains a loyal friend and ally of Ukraine. We want to help Ukraine on its path of reform. We will discuss how NATO, including with the help of Canada, may assist Ukraine," Nicholson said.
