Germany highly evaluates the pace of reforms conducted in Ukraine – as those that have already been implemented and those that are in the pipeline under the plan of reforms approved by the Ukrainian government, according to German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
"We recognize the large amount of work already done on conducted reforms, and we highly evaluate that program of reforms you plan to implement in future – in economy, in government structures, in the social sphere. We support this reform program and it should be supported by other partners [of Ukraine]," Steinmeier said during a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
As UNIAN reported earlier, implementing the priority reforms approved, inter alia, by Ukraine's key creditor, the International Monetary Fund, Ukraine plans to carry out several key reforms, including the decentralization of powers, primarily in the public sector, as well as deregulation of the economy, large-scale privatization and reform of state-owned, strategically important companies.
