A total of 16 health workers have been killed and another 60 injured during the Anti-Terrorist Operation in the Donbas conflict zone, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Health, Advisor to the President of Ukraine Olha Bohomolets said on Tuesday at the board meeting of the Ministry of Health, with the participation of Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"As of today, 16 of our colleagues have been killed, while another 60 people have been injured," she said.
As reported earlier, according to the UN, more than 6,400 people have been killed and another 15,962 injured in the Donbas conflict zone in eastern Ukraine since fighting broke out there in mid-April last year.
