Crimean authorities to prosecute people for taking part in local Euromaidan

The Prosecutor's Office of the Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory of Crimea intends to prosecute about 50 people involved in organizing the Euromaidan protests on the peninsula, according to the documents obtained by Crimean news agency Krym.Realii from the local sources.

The list includes well-known human rights defenders, activists and ordinary citizens. The suspects include people who have already been threatened or have been brought to justice by the Russian occupation authorities’ Crimean Prosecutor's Office.

In particular, the list includes Refat Chubarov, Ahtem Chiygoz, Zair Smedlyaev, Andriy Shchekun, Eduard Leonov, Serhiy Yurchenko, Serhiy Mokreniuk, Oleksandr Kostenko and other Crimeans.

The list includes many of those who have already left the peninsula and live on the mainland part of Ukraine, as indicated in the documents.
