One of the largest ever polls published recently by the US-based Pew Research Center concludes that populations in some main NATO member states are mostly reluctant to provide weapons to Ukraine, with the Germans, the Spanish and the Italians being the least willing to do so .
Quite alarmingly, the respondents were also reluctant in backing the deployment of their troops to protect the neighboring NATO member allies, as Poland or the Baltic states, if Russia attacks, Ukraine Today reports.
The survey results show that the Kremlin’s attempts to split public opinion in the EU with regard to the Ukrainian issue and the Russia’s foreign policy are seeing some success, which should be noted by the European politicians who are trying to counter Moscow’s propaganda.
