Russian-backed militants began firing at the town of Shastya after midnight, news source informator.lg.ua reported on Friday, with reference to sources in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The military said that the militants’ shells hit an area close to the local bus stop, where round the clock trading is carried out. Reports of casualties are being verified.
As reported earlier, on Thursday evening the militants fired at positions of Ukrainian forces in Shyrokyne thirteen times.
