Ukraine Today speaks with Simon Smith, UK Ambassador to Ukraine, about the toughest challenges he faced while holding his post and prospects of UK assistance in Ukraine’s ongoing battle against Russia-backed militants.
“The effects of sanctions [against Russia] will continue the longer that they remain in place,” said the Ambassador, explaining that this economic instrument is dynamic, not static.
Simon Smith added that the West recognizes, there are many different ways to help Ukraine to defend itself and deter against aggression, Ukraine Today reports.
