Poroshenko initiates joint fight against smuggling / Photo from UNIAN
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is willing to organize effective international cooperation on fighting smuggling across the western part of Ukrainian border, he announced during a meeting with law enforcement officials in Zakarpattia.
Soon, I will hold consultations with the leaders of the neighboring EU member states… We will unite Ukraine’s efforts with those of our neighboring countries, the EU member states [in fighting smuggling],” said the president.
Poroshenko stressed that it was necessary to deprive the gangs of additional income and block the smuggling flows across the border.
