Ukraine will do everything to punish those responsible for the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 over the territory of Ukraine on July 17, 2014, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
"The results of voting in the UN Security Council on the downing of MH17: 11 countries - "for", 3 countries -"abstained," and only Russia - "against." The results speak for themselves. But Ukraine will not stop. Those responsible must be punished. It is our duty to the victims and their families," Poroshenko wrote.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Russia vetoed a UN Security Council resolution on setting up an MH17 international criminal tribunal to prosecute those responsible for downing a Malaysia Airlines plane over eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014 that killed all 298 people on board.
