Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) participant status has been granted to 40,468 law enforcement officers as of July 31, 2015, the press service of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry has reported.
ATO participant status has been granted to 16,931 police officers and 13,894 military of the National Guard of Ukraine. In addition, ATO participant status has been granted to 9,258 employees of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and 385 workers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the report says.
As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the Ministry of Defense, ATO participant status had been granted to more than 66,000 soldiers of the Ukrainian armed forces as of July 28, 2015.
