A reformed judicial system with newly appointed judges may start working in Ukraine from January 1, 2016, if the Verkhovna Rada introduces necessary amendments to the Constitution, Ukrainian Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.
"The parliament has all the leverage to make a new judicial system work from the beginning of next year. The Constitution needs to be amended for this purpose," he said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, a special department under the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine will investigate cases of bribe-taking by judges.
