On November 6, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation ruled to bring charges in absentia against Ruslan Mukhadinov of the murder of Boris Nemtsov. The document stipulates that Mukhadinov is the organizer of a high-profile crime. Since he has been evading law enforcers since March 2015, he was put on the federal wanted list.

Ruslan Mukhadinov is a personal driver of the Sever Battalion commander Ruslan Geremeev. An alleged perpetrator of Nemtsov's murder, Zaur Dadaev, earlier testified that the crime was committed at the request of a person named Ruslan. The Investigative Committee identified Ruslan as Ruslan Mukhadinov. After that, he was put on operational search list, but the law enforcers failed to find him.

Vadim Prokhorov, the lawyer of Nemtsov's family, has confirmed the indictments against Mukhadinov. However, he said that he expected the same procedural measures be taken against Ruslan Geremeev.
