Poroshenko, Juncker tune positions ahead of Ukraine-EC-Russia talks

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker have coordinated the positions ahead of the final round of tripartite ministerial consultations between Ukraine, Russian and the European Commission to be held on Dec. 1 in Brussels, concerning the implementation of Ukraine-EU Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA).

"The parties discussed Ukraine’s fulfillment of criteria necessary for the establishment of the visa-free regime with the EU, inter alia, progress in the implementation of anti-corruption reform," the president’s press service said commenting on Poroshenko’s meeting with Juncker during the UN Climate Conference in Paris.

The parties confirmed the irreversible character of an agreement on the establishment of deep and comprehensive free trade area between Ukraine and the EU starting from January 1, 2016. They also coordinated positions on the eve of the final round of ministerial trilateral consultations Ukraine-EC-Russia on the implementation of FTA that will be held on December 1 in Brussels.
