EC says report on Ukraine-EU VLAP to be released before year end

The assessment report on Ukraine’s implementation of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan (VLAP) will be put forward “before the end of the year,” the spokesperson of the European Commission has told an UNIAN correspondent in Brussels; that is, the document will not see the light before Dec 15, as earlier expected.

Saying that the report will be released “before the end of the year,” the spokesperson stressed that “nothing has changed in that regard.”

“I cannot give you a date,” she added.

“We’ve always said that it would be before the end of the year, so I wouldn’t call it a postponement necessarily. December is still ongoing. And the report will be put forward as soon as possible,” said the spokesperson answering a question, why the release of the report was postponed.
