The decision of the European Union on the extension of sanctions against Russia until July 31, 2016 was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on December 22.
The document stipulates that the decision comes into force from the date of its publication.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on December 21, the European Union formally approved the decision to extend sanctions against Russia for another six months. The decision was confirmed in writing.
