Principal Deputy Chief Monitor (PDCM) of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine Alexander Hug will open new Forward Patrol Bases in eastern Ukraine as part of his tour of Donbas from January 14 to January 18, 2016, to assess the security situation, according to the OSCE SMM.
Hug will "open new Forward Patrol Bases and encourage all concerned to work towards peace and normalization of the situation in Ukraine," the OSCE SMM reported in a statement on Monday.
He will visit Soledar, Donetsk, Kominternove, Shyrokyne, Dokuchaievsk, Svitlodarsk, Krasnoarmiisk, Luhansk, and Stanytsia-Luhanska.
He is also scheduled to meet SMM teams, inspect the camera operations, conduct meetings with Joint Centre for Control and Co-operation representatives and other relevant interlocutors, the statement said.
