EC to propose EU Council by April to abolish visas for Ukrainians

The European Commission has confirmed that in the first quarter of this year it will propose the EU Council to introduce a visa-free regime for Ukraine, Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn said before the meeting, Europeiska Pravda reported.

According to Hahn, Ukraine still has commitments made by the president and the prime minister, which must be fulfilled. But he expects that the report will be published soon, and after its assessment, it will be possible in the first quarter of 2016 to propose the EU Council to introduce a visa-free regime for Ukraine.

According to Hahn, the same applies to Georgia.
