Party of Regions plans may be frustrated
The dismissal of the Cabinet of Ministers, planned by the Party of Regions, may be frustrated. According to the information of sources of Kommersant Ukrayina newspaper, in the end of last week Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko secretly met with President’s Chief of Staff Victor Baloha. They discussed variants to save the coalition of democratic forces. Yulia Tymoshenko was proposed to initiate dismissal of Ministers, elected on the quota of Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense, and to demand a public apologize from Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko and member of parliament David Zhvania, who made critical statements about President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko. In response, Victor Baloha guaranteed to save the majority and to engage the Lytvyn’s Bloc in the coalition.
