Leader of the Crimean Tatar people, Ukrainian MP Mustafa Dzhemilev said that Turkey had committed itself to economic and military rapprochement with Ukraine and that, in his opinion, Ankara will help in the process of Crimea de-occupation, according to Krym.Realii.
"A course has been taken toward economic and military rapprochement with Ukraine,” said Dzhemilev commenting on the latest meeting of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“This, of course, is in our favor, and I think, in favor of efforts toward de-occupation of Crimea, too. Although Turkey has always acted according to its own national economic interests. But now, this has changed for the better, in our view," said Dzhemilev.

On Wednesday, Poroshenko and his Turkish counterpart Erdogan signed a joint declaration on deepening strategic partnership between the two countries, in particular in the light of Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the illegal annexation of Crimea.
