Nadia Savchenko’s mother and sister have come to the Boryspil airport waiting for the landing of a President Poroshenko’s plane which is expected to bring Nadia back to Ukraine from Russia.
As reported, the final agreement on Savchenko’s exchange for the Russian GRU officers Alexander Alexandrov and Yevgeny Yerofeyev was reached during a telephone conversation in Norman format on Tuesday, May 24.
The Kremlin did not provide information about the beginning of the process of Savchenko’s swap for Russian GRU officers.
As UNIAN reported earlier, overnight Wednesday, the plane of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko arrived in Rostov-on-Don to take back Nadia Savchenko in exchange for Russian GRU officers Alexandrov and Yerofeyev.
The aircraft with Savchenko on board is expected to land at the airport Boryspil this afternoon.
Petro Poroshenko pardoned the convicted Russian GRU officers. Yerofeyev and Alexandrov have reportedly arrived in Russia at Vnukovo airport at 13:38 Moscow time May 25.
