Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has commented on the earlier decision of Mikheil Saakashvili to resign from the post of Odesa Governor, saying that after the defeat of Saakashvili's party in the elections in Georgia, the official decided to try himself in Ukrainian politics, according to Poroshenko's spokesman Svyatoslav Tsegolko.
"Poroshenko, answering the question about Saakashvili: After the defeat in Georgian elections, someone decided to do politics in Ukraine," the Ukrainian president's press secretary wrote on Twitter, quoting Poroshenko as saying during his joint press conference with Slovenian President Borut Pahor.
