Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly has commented on Russia's take on U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's pro-Russian stance, saying that they get it wrong, according to TV news service TSN.
"If Russia waits until Trump takes office and changes foreign policy… We've seen them all applauding there as if the whole Russia had voted for Trump. I think they get it wrong regarding the institutions here, in the United States, and the position taken by Trump himself," the Ukrainian ambassador said during a Ukrainian talk show, TSN reported.
The U.S. presidential election took place on November 8, 2016. Its results were announced on November 9: Trump won 289 electoral votes, his rival, Hillary Clinton, got 218 with the minimum required set at 270.
