Trilateral talks between the European Union's institutions on developing a visa waiver suspension mechanism, which was stated earlier as a prerequisite to move forward with visa liberalization for Ukraine and Georgia, will only continue next week, according to RFE/RL correspondent in Brussels Rikard Jozwiak.
"Don’t think we will see actual visa lib[realization] for Ukraine and Georgia until Feb-March [2017],” the journalist wrote on Twitter.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Deputy Minister of Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for European integration Olena Zerkal has told head of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli that a further delay in decision-making on the introduction of EU visa-free travel for Ukrainians is "unacceptable".
