Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to modernize pensions in autumn 2017, that is to increase their level and abolish taxation.
"Modernization means the elimination of injustice," the head of state said.

"I instructed the government at the Commission [meeting] of the National Reform Council to raise pensions in the autumn of this year, as well as to abolish taxation of pensions and all restrictions for working pensioners," he said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman presented a draft pension reform during a Q&A session in the Verkhovna Rada on May 19.
According to the head of government, the minimum pension of UAH 3,000 or UAH 5,000 is not yet possible.
