The EU officials will discuss next week the extension of sanctions imposed on Russia for its aggression in Ukraine, according to RFE/RL correspondent in Brussels Rikard Jozwiak.
"Eu officials will nxt week debate 6 months extension of sanctions on 153 ppl & 40 entities. Renewal deadline: 15 Sep," Jozwiak wrote on Twitter on August 30, 2017.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on March 13, 2017, the EU Council prolonged the restrictive measures over actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for another six months, until September 15, 2017.
