The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has called the entry into force of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union the day of paying tribute to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, according to press secretary of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Mariana Betsa.
"We did it! Significant day. On September 1, 2017, the Association Agreement with the EU entered fully into force. Ukraine is Europe," Betsa wrote on Twitter on September 1, 2017.
"This is also a day of our respect for the Heavenly Hundred Heroes and millions of Ukrainians defending freedom and European values," she tweeted.
