The European Court of Justice recognized as legal the freezing of assets of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and his son Oleksandr, Europeiska Pravda reported with reference to a statement by the court's secretariat.
The court passed a corresponding decision, thus turning down the appeal filed by the ousted Ukrainian president, Europeiska Pravda wrote.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation extended the right to temporary asylum for former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych until October 26, 2018, according to his lawyer Vitaliy Serdyuk.
