A combatant may lose his status if there is a conviction of a court for committing a deliberate felony, revealing the fact of providing inauthentic information about participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) or on a personal application.
The relevant changes are included in resolution No. 413 of the Cabinet of Ministers of August 20, 2014, according to Ukrainian Military Pages.
"Amendments made by resolution No. 789 of the Cabinet of Ministers of October 18, 2017 provide for the possibility of depriving the combatant status of persons who participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation if there is a conviction of a court for committing a deliberate felony, revealing the fact of providing inauthentic information about participation in the ATO or on a personal application," the statement says.
