Sobchak makes another statement on Crimea: New referendum needed

Russian journalist and public figure Ksenia Sobchak, who has decided to run for president in Russia and whose words about Ukrainian Crimea have previously caused a wide response, has said the issue of the return of Russian-occupied Crimea to Ukraine should be decided in a new referendum to be recognized throughout the world, according to the Ukrainian news outlet Obozrevatel.

"It is an extremely complicated issue. According to international law, Crimea is Ukrainian. People live there and we must admit the fact that those who live there are cautious about Ukraine. Ukraine must admit this too. And we'll have to decide together what we are going to do. It is impossible to take it and then give it back," she said at a news conference with Ukrainian journalists, Obozrevatel reports.
