An official meeting ceremony of President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych and President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa took place in Kyiv.
The press service of the President of Ukraine disclosed to UNIAN that a military band executed national anthems of Ukraine and Sri-Lanka. The heads of the states reviewed the guard of honour.
The ceremony finished with introduction of the official delegations of Ukraine and Sri-Lanka.
After that the meeting of V. Yanukovych and M. Rajapaksa started in a narrow circle; afterwards the Ukrainian- Sri Lankian negotiations in a broadened format under chairmanship of the Presidents will take place.
It is scheduled that there will be a signing ceremony of the bilateral documents after the negotiations.
