The Batkivshchyna and the People’s Self Defense parties started a unification process.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, first deputy head of the Batkivshchyna party Oleksandr Turchynov said this at the news conference today.
According to the words of O. Turchynov, a Resistance to Dictatorship Committee has discussed an issue concerning unification of the oppositional forces for participation in elections of 2012 for several times.
“The consultations between leadership of our parties – the Batkivshchyna party and the People’s Self Defense party – took place. During these negotiations it was decided to start a unification process of our political forces on the basis of the Batkivshchyna party”, - said O. Turchynov.
