Acceleration of trade and economic relations between Ukraine and UAE is important in the context of deepening cooperation between the two states, according to the Press office of President Viktor Yanukovych. It was stated by the President in his interview to Ukrainian media representatives in Abu-Dhabi. “Our goal is to accelerate trade and economic relations. Our contacts at the highest level open new opportunities,” Viktor Yanukovych noted.
The Head of State stressed that the signing of 9 interstate agreements and treaties (6 of which have already been signed in the presence of the two Presidents) would allow to broaden the legal opportunities in Ukrainian-Emirati relations.
The President also called prospective the cooperation in military-industrial, energy, space, high-tech and agricultural spheres. He added that Intergovernmental commission had been established to broaden bilateral relations.
Moreover, the Head of State positively evaluated the dynamics of trade turnover growth between Ukraine and UAE. The President expressed belief that Ukrainian-Emirati business forum would facilitate the provision of conditions and opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
