High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton expresses readiness to carry out summit Ukraine-EU in Luxemburg in summer 2013.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, she said this during a telephone talk with Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov.
C. Ashton informed the head of the Ukrainian government about conclusions of the EU Council on Foreign Relations concerning Ukraine. She underlined that the European Union sincerely wishes Ukraine progress on a way of reforms, modernization of economy and democratic transformations, and also realization of the European choice.
The EU Council on Foreign Relations confirmed involvement of Ukraine to cooperation in direction of political association and economic integration on the basis of common values.
Because of that C. Ashton said to M. Azarov about readiness to carry out the summit Ukraine-EU in Luxemburg in summer 2013. She also expressed confidence in signing Agreement on Association during Vilnius summit “Eastern partnership” in November 2013.
